Craig Halliday
Originally from Truro, Nova Scotia, Craig Halliday is a dynamic and versatile drummer now residing in Toronto. His growing interest in music eventually led him to study drums and percussion at Humber College in Toronto. It was at Humber that Craig started to develop what has been described as a powerfully sensitive drumming style. Soon after Humber Craig went on to study with world-renowned teacher, Jim Blackley, who helped him focus and propel his technique and style into a distinct sound that is both melodic and thick in the groove. Craig continues to learn and incorporate different approaches to drumming and is currently playing with several bands in Toronto. He has done Tours in both Canada and the
U.S., and when in Toronto, continues to be in demand as a session player. His discography includes: A Northern Chorus The Matavaras, Emer, Prosad, Shelby Lamb, and Peirson Ross.
