When your major influences are Grant Green, Steely Dan, Charlie parker, Jerry Garcia, Amon Tobin, LTJ Bukem, Johnny Guitar Watson and Richard Groove Holmes you end up being part Chameleon by default.

Josh grew up listening to a broad range of music the ranging from be-bop jazz to classic blues and reggae, to Motown and Jimmy Buffett. “This was the music we listened to at home.” Josh adds, “My dad worked in radio so we had music on all the time.”

Those early influences sent Josh off in search of developing his own muse. A graduate of the fine arts and jazz programs at York University and Humber College Josh emerged as a jazz trained guitarist and musicologist with a wealth of styles he wanted to explore.

The creation of The Chameleon Project was the natural response to the desire to create new music by merging the past with the present to create music that was exploring new ground. “Music is something that should be felt through your feet as it engages your mind,” and adds “When people come to hear ‘The Project’ we make sure that people are moved both physically and mentally to get the best of what good music can deliver.”
